FT Architectural/Engineering Sales Representative

Territory:                       Western Canada (Vancouver)

Location:                       Vancouver, BC (Home Office)

Division:                        Roofing and Building Maintenance

Job Summary

Reporting to the Regional Business Manager , the incumbent is responsible for generating sales of Tremco roofing materials and services through design professionals, which encompass businesses that write specifications for roofing projects such as engineers, architects, roof consultants, specifiers and building science professionals. 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Business Planning: develop a strategy with the RBM and the Sales Reps within the territory to develop new business in the design professional market.
  • New Business Development: Establish a network of design professionals through marketing Tremco products and services i.e. leading educational seminars, networking at tradeshows, conferences, association meetings, cold calling, and attending sales calls.
  • Utilize strong client management and professional selling skills to identify and provide appropriate product solutions to new customers.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary diploma in Architectural Technology or Civil Engineering or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Certified Technical Representative designation (CTR) through Construction Specifications Canada is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ of commercial sales experience in the construction industry is required.  
  • A proven track record of successfully growing and cultivating relationships with design professionals for the purpose of selling is a strong asset.
  • Ability to use AutoCad and read and write specification drawings is preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact effectively at all levels.
