Job Description

Demand Planning Analyst

The Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for maintain North American Roofing forecasts through SAP while working closely with the manufacturing plants to meet daily, weekly, and monthly customer demand.

Duties/Responsibilities, Core knowledge:

  • Understand forecast data models and recognize business trends to develop accurate monthly forecasts
  •  Strong knowledge of mixed requirement planning (MRP) through extensive use of SAP / APO in everyday business tasks.
  • Engage in weekly meetings with production leadership teams (PLM) to set target stock levels throughout the roofing season.
  • Monitor internal stock movements through North America and assist with directing stock allocations as-needed.
  • Work closely with Product Management to communicate high-level objectives to manufacturing teams.
  • Develop and maintain detailed sales reports for upper management.
  • Help to improve external and internal data management stemming from various software platforms (SAP, APO, BI Analyzer, Smartsheet, MyOLI, Office 365, Sales Force).

Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Physical Requirements:

  • One to two years related experience and/or training.
  • Prior experience in supply-chain, planning, procurement, product management, analytics.
  • Project management certification a plus.
  • Strong background using Microsoft Excel to analyze data and create functional reports.
  • Knowledge of SAP or similar platform a plus.
  • Ability to understand multiple software platforms and how they pertain to good data management.
  • Technically-minded individual who can understand large amounts of data and draw valid conclusions in a dynamic environment.
