An excellent opportunity has arisen for an organized, driven individual to join The Euclid Chemical team as Distribution Coordinator.

Position Summary

Responsible for coordinating flow of goods and materials; to and from docks receiving, allocating and loading as required to support delivery deadlines. Responsible for the accuracy of order picking and receiving and maintains quality inspection boards. Directs hourly warehouse personnel.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partner with and back-up Distribution Clerk and Warehouse Supervisor
  • Communicates Dock Activities
  • Liaises with Yard Driver/ Switcher to support production departs
  • Processes Returns
  • Controls Quality Inspection board/ inventory to ensure any incoming damage is evaluated and dispositioned.
  • Conducts Inventory activities on all material located in Distribution Center as required by appropriate procedures.
  • Checks Pick Lists confirming accuracy of each pick and loading the material onto trucks.
  • Performs all transactions to confirm the allocation, transfer or destruction of materials that have been picked, transferred or destroyed.
  • Maintains a certificate for Hazard Waste and DOT requirements.
  • Abides by all safety and operating rules.
  • Performs other duties as required

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree required
  • DOT 49 CFR HAZMAT certified or ability to obtain certification
  • SAP/JDE computer skills preferred

  • Mathematical Ability: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's; ability to perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance- utilizing appropriate measurement tools.

Physical Requirements:

  • Vision and manual dexterity for frequent keyboard / PC use. Vision sufficient to read labels & tickets, and to safely navigate high volume pedestrian and machine traffic.
  • Ability to move throughout the Distribution Center enters truck trailers.
