Job Description

Tremco's Commercial Sealants and Waterproofing division is currently searching for an OEM Key Account Manager in the Cleveland, OH area, but would be open to the position being based out of any Central Ohio location.  The OEM Key Account Manager is responsible for developing and executing a growth plan with both existing and targeted key accounts within the U.S.  The customer base will align with the key Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) markets including, but not limited to, transportation, modular and specialty OEM applications. This role will be proficient in key account management, penetrating new accounts and assisting with entrance into new markets.  This person will have competitive nature, be results orientated and demonstrated success in developing and closing new business.


  • Develops a key account strategy with both existing and targeted OEM accounts
  • Drive sales within key accounts to achieve annual sales objectives
  • Represents Tremco’s OEM products and solutions to key customer accounts as the single point of contact.
  • Supports all existing key customer accounts, protecting existing business, and leads the development of new profitable growth in existing and new key customers; balances customer retention and new business growth
  • Drives business development within our targeted key accounts aligns with the OEM business strategy and ensures appropriate opportunity qualification
  • Effectively executes pricing and margin management strategies through value selling
  • Accountable for defining the appropriate level of customer and technical service support, and for execution of new sales opportunities
  • Takes a proactive approach to understanding the technical components and industry applications of the OEM product line offering
  • Responsible for providing Voice of the Customer and competitive intelligence to the commercial team
  • Individual is expected to function with high-degree of independence once clear goals and expectations are established.


Bachelor's degree: no specified curriculum


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B sales in a construction, OEM, or other technical specification environments.


  • Demonstrated success utilizing a consistent selling process including closing new business
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude
  • Requires strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to establish, build and maintain productive business relationships
  • Demonstrated success in key account development including developing profitable new business (both in new and existing accounts)
  • Skilled in value selling and negotiation
  • Results oriented, team player who is confident working independently
  • Ability to travel 40-60%


  • Suitable home office workplace to conduct work
  • Salesforce / CRM experience a plus
