Job Description

Tremco's Commercial Sealants and Waterproofing is currently searching for a Sales Representative in the baltimore, MD area.  The Sales Representative is responsible for the coordination of sales, technical service and specifications for the CS&W division.   We are looking for a competitive field sales representative to develop sales strategies and attract new clients. You will source new sales opportunities and close sales with existing customers to achieve sales goals. The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads and qualifying prospects.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Achieves or exceeds assigned sales and/or profit goals.
  • Drives Dryvit, NewBrick, and as applicable, Nudura product specifications and project opportunities through geographically assigned architecture and/or design firms, general contractors, building owners, and subcontractors.
  • Defines market, channel, and product opportunities for business management recommendation with supporting research and analysis.
  • Prepares annual business and/or territory plan with detailed by-customer and by-SKU forecast with monthly updates.
  • Identifies, builds, and maintains relationships with targeted accounts to directly influence profitable product sales.
  • Manages the day-to-day contact with assigned accounts acting as the key liaison between the external customers and Development, Marketing, Customer Service, Field Services, Manufacturing, and Operations.
  • Executes all sales programs ensuring appropriate management of the order-to-cash process.
  • Secures required key account and/or target account information for entry and maintenance via Salesforce.
  • Aligns Dodge reporting and lead generation tracking within Salesforce for continuous updates and monthly project review meetings.
  • Communicates and coordinates prescribed sales and marketing programs according to defined guidelines.
  • Prepares and conducts high-level sales presentations to assigned account executives.
  • Maintains extensive product knowledge in all product lines and service offerings.
  • Coordinates and executes product knowledge training sessions with internal and external customers, as appropriate, utilizing supplier representatives.
  • Attends and presents business unit products and services at industry conventions and trade shows.
  • Generates timely expense reporting and manages travel and entertainment expense levels.
  • Adheres to and enforces all company policies, pricing, and operational procedures with special attention to the professional image of the company.
  • Answers internal and/or external customer phone, voicemail, email, and fax inquiries within  same day (maximum 24-hour time frame).

EDUCATION 

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED with 2 years’ experience in a sales role OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree and no experience, Bachelor’s in Business and sales experience preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED with 2 years’ experience in a sales role OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree and no experience, Bachelor’s in Business and sales experience preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: 

  • Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
  • Certified Document Technician (CDT) a plus but not required

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong communication skills with ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
  • Ability to present in front of large groups
  • Listening skills
  • Team player with ability to work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within territory.​

  • Suitable home office work space to conduct work
  • Salesforce.com experience a plus
