Job Description

Tremco's Commercial Sealants and Waterproofing (CS&W) division is currently searching for a Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to the Organizational Effectiveness (OE) team to ensure efficiencies are maximized and key strategic objectives are met. OE objectives are aligned with the areas of competency management, workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, employee and leadership development, succession planning and other workforce initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

​General Administrative Support

  • Provides support to the Vice President, Organizational Effectiveness by with communication to managers and employees, organizing and having meeting materials and agendas available in a timely manner, and researching and investigating information to move OE matters and initiatives forward.
  • Maintains confidential personnel files and documentation.
  • Assists in tracking, maintaining, and reporting out on departmental metrics.
  • Organizes digital and hard copy shared files for easy accessibility of OE team including job description library.
  • Plans, coordinates, logistics, tracks expenditures and drafts communications for OE programs such as the CS&W annual employee service awards.
  • Schedules project meetings and training sessions.
  • Participates in OE related projects as assigned.
  • Assists with OE process improvement.

Talent Acquisition Support

  • Prepares, posts, and updates online job advertisements.
  • Attends network events, job fairs or other related functions to promote and represent Tremco as assigned.
  • Coordinates and schedules phone and in-person interviews; administers and interprets appropriate assessment testing.
  • Drafts offer letters and ensures timely delivery to candidates.
  • Communicates with candidates, hiring managers, and recruiters on an ongoing basis to provide status updates.
  • Initiates and follows up on candidate background checks, drug screens and pre-employment testing and results.
  • Assists Recruiters with new-employee orientations and on-boarding; ensures all new hire paperwork is completed and submitted to corporate Human Resources (HR).
  • Utilizes company Applicant Tracking System to identify and assess candidate qualifications.
  • Creates recruitment reports for monthly meetings and metrics,

Development Support

  • Assists HR Business Partner as needed with performance management tracking and communications.
  • Handles the coordination/logistics of meetings, surveys, and training sessions.

EDUCATION

​High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required with two years of administrative or human resources support experience. Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or similar field preferred.

EXPERIENCE

2+ years of administrative or human resources support experience in a fast-paced professional environment required.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required (written and verbal).
  • Strong organization skills with ability to multitask and prioritize work to complete assignments in a timely, accurate manner.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with changing priorities and to work as a team.
  • Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). SharePoint and database management experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills including the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of employment law preferred.
  • Ability to travel to local work sites and career fairs as required.
