Job Description

Business Development Specialist

This individual is r esponsible for supporting business development for sales growth by assisting the sales team through opening doors and identifying projects from building owners, property managers, contractors, specifiers and design professionals. This includes attending trade associations, committee work, specifier visits, educational classes and events throughout the Mid Atlantic, but with a primary emphasis in Washington D.C.   

  • Regular attendance at local and regional associations events , including significant participation in committees and boards including RCI, AIA , BOMA, RCI, FEFPA, FHEA, ICSC, CREW etc. Chair Association major events to bring positive branding of Tremco. Attend all, regional and local trade shows related to associations.
  • Create and organize all logistical responsibility for corporate and regional educational experiences, live demos and lunch and learn sessions. Promote participation of contractors to training sessions locally and in Cleveland.  
  • Organize and oversee social events to help build the relationship between the regional sales team and specifiers, potential and current clients. Provide support to the sales team at all local and regional trade shows.  
  • Create alliance with other trade vendors to grow future client and specifier database. Through vendor alliance, network with current and future specifiers, building owners, managers and roofing contractors in educational and social events. 
  • Support with training future relationship specialists.
  • Position will report to Regional Sales Manager with day to day communication with regional sales team.
  • Role will also include assistance to Rep Interviews in regards to follow on a monthly or bi-monthly basis.
