Job Description

Business Systems Intern – Finance

The IT Business Systems Intern will provide support and coordination on various projects and/or provide day to day support with tasks supporting business initiatives related to our Finance and Accounting Business Systems (SAP or other integrated systems). Areas of support may include administration, reporting, assist with and document business process design, spec development, system development, system testing, training document development and delivery or helpdesk. As an IT Intern, you will gain practical experience working on projects and helping to support IT Business Systems (SAP or other integrated systems) while working side-by-side with a team of IT professionals and various Business Leads.

Duties/Responsibilities, Core knowledge:

• Excellent Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel and PowerPoint

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve problems

• Comfortable using business systems

• Assisting with Tier One Business Support from our financial accounting users related to use of our Finance Business systems.

• Other duties which would include assisting with projects, support, training development, training delivery, system testing, analysis, reporting, etc.

Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Physical Requirements:

• Must be currently pursuing a Bachelors’ degree at an accredited university or college. Ideally in Junior or Senior year.

• Financial Accounting Education/Some IT training would be helpful.

• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Excellent teamwork skills.

• Comfortable working with different personalities.

• Excellent spelling and grammar.

• Excellent numeracy skills

• Good presentation skills.

• Good documentation skills.
