Job Description

This is a remote position. We are currently seeking an Estimating Manager. This individual would be responsible for supervising and coordinating all estimating staff. This includes overseeing the workflow for prioritizing and developing all bid and proposal pricing for WTI General Contracting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise staff and organize work processes. Coordinate with key Managers, Sales, and Field employees.
  • Use general scope of work/specifications to develop line item pricing and accurately show line items on customer proposal.
  • Ensure enough material is being estimated on project based on Tremco material coverage/usage rates.
  • Ability to use SAP to review and use correct material pricing.
  • Prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity relating to service, process and quality.
  • Keep up to date with all compliance policies to ensure that all proposals and cost estimates are in line with contract agreements
  • Identify and record any service, process, or quality system problems. Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Four-Ten Years related experience and training (construction, commercial roofing systems, estimating)
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
