An excellent opportunity has arisen for a driven individual to join the Euclid Chemical PSI team as Maintenance Manager in Lafayette GA.

The Maintenance Manager plans, coordinates, controls and/ or directs activities involving matters of facility and process equipment maintenance for the PSI Fiber Plant. The Maintenance Manager has budgetary responsibility for facility- wide maintenance and process equipment maintenance. The Maintenance Manager is also an active participant in EHS, ISO and Lean.

Essential Functions/ Main Job Responsibilities

  • Plan maintenance work activities for a 24/7 maintenance operation
  • Responsible for maintenance contractors preforming services for facilities and equipment
  • Procure supplies, parts and equipment
  • Maintain OSHA Electrical Safety Compliance
  • Perform facility audits, inspections and identify need for preventative and corrective measures
  • Ensure reliability and predictability or productions processes and equipment
  • Maintain ISO equipment calibration
  • Participate in/ lead Euclid Chemical Cross Functional Teams, i.e. Safety Committee
  • Maintain Update facility and equipment drawings, blueprints and files
  • Responsible for Site Security
  • Responsible for Housekeeping within the Maintenance areas
  • Process Improvement Design/Implementation- Improve operating efficiency

Education and Experience

  • Associates Degree or Equivalent from Two Year College or Technical School.
  • Four to Ten years related experience and/or training
  • Technical Knowledge in the area of manufacturing and chemical processes
  • OSHA Electrical Safety Training

Additional information: Individual must be a self-starter, require little supervision, work multiple shifts scheduled during the course of the year, work weekends, as necessary.  Root cause analysis is critical to performing the job duties and improving maintenance operations/reducing cost.  Individual must not be afraid to "get dirty on the job". Will be required to perform repairs some of the time, hands on as required. Individual must be able to communicate in a professional manner with other managers and supervisors as well as plant floor personnel to determine priority of repairs and maintenance.

Supervisory Responsibility

The Maintenance Manager is tasked with managing the maintenance department consisting of two maintenance technicians. There are no subordinate supervisors that will report to the Maintenance Manager.

Work Environment

The Maintenance Manager may be required to work in close proximity to or within areas where there is risk of electrical shock, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions and in high or precarious places. The Maintenance Manager may experience moderate to loud noise levels while conducting job functions in these areas.

Physical Demands

The Maintenance Manager may be required to complete physical tasks which may involve walking, climbing, reaching, kneeling, crawling, lifting up to 50 pounds and relying on senses such as taste, smell and sound.


Minimal/Infrequent travel required as part of this position.
