Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a detail-oriented individual to join the Euclid Chemical PSI team as Plant Administrator in Lafayette GA.

Summary:

The Administrator provides support and overall direction for all administrative activities related to the plant such as production reporting and cycle count data; as well as general office support which includes data entry on company systems, customer service, filing, processing of purchase orders and invoices, shipping and tracking and coordination/ on-site reporting to human resources on matters related to personnel attendance and payroll processing. The administrator works closely with all members of the management team and others.

Essential Functions/ Main Job Responsibilities:

  • Support consistent and fair applications of company policies.
  • Support reporting for HQ Payroll processing on Kronos; this includes liaising with managers on their employees vacation calendars, keeping up with the points-based system and reporting in an accurate and timely manner (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually as required).
  • Answer phones, takes messages and/or field all routine and non-routine calls, working in cooperation with other office employees to cover phones
  • Customer Service: Assist with taking and shipping orders, corresponding with the Sales teams and Customer Services Team members (including international orders) and processing and tracking all orders and shipments. 
  • Shipping:  scheduling containers and full truck loads for pick-up and delivery, domestic and international. Reporting and tracking to maintain documentation, update, format, report, print as required.
  • Company Systems- Enter and maintain production reports; compile, sort and verify accuracy of data; entering orders and monthly cycle counting sheets into SAP, Credits and debits and Returns.
  • Support office management and administration – sort mail- open, sort & distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes & email. File & retrieve corporate/divisional documents and reports. Order office supplies and maintain inventory records.
  • Provide administrative support for production, maintenance and purchasing as needed- designated back up for plant purchasing.
  • Help with scheduling and facilitation of training classes as necessary.
  • Support communication of and adherence to safety policies - closely coordinating with departments and overseeing physical plant operations to ensure the elimination of safety hazards and compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position involves no supervision responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. However, while performing some of the duties of this job, the employee may be infrequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud depending on location in the plant.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. The employee is also occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Education and Experience

  • Industry experience preferred
  • Experience with software applications such as SAP preferred.
