Tremco's Commercial Sealants and Waterproofing division is currently searching for a Product Manager. The Product Manager is responsible for ensuring Tremco is properly addressing the changing needs of the market place as it relates to our product line offerings for the Commercial Sealants and Waterproofing market segments in North America. This high-energy position will support our high-performance building envelope strategy from a marketing perspective with an emphasis on the technical aspects of the products and the connectivity between adjacent building enclosure systems. This critical, hands-on position plays an integral role in the day to day tactical operations and the strategic growth of the product line.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Intimately understands the features and capabilities of the products, how they relate to customer benefits and uses, and how the product compares to competitive or substitute products and solutions.
  • Identifies testing and performance gaps in the Tremco offering and work with Technical Services and R&D to address them.
  • Attends and presents at select trade shows/conferences as needed.
  • Presents at regional and national sales meetings.
  • Leads and manages cross-functional teams as needed related to product or process improvements for the product line.
  • Leads contact for international and intercompany inquiries and requests.
  • Trains and provides day to day guidance to interns and co-ops.
  • Works closely with Market Managers on developing business plans and product line strategy.
  • Works closely with Market Managers and business analytics to determine market opportunities for the products that they are responsible for.
  • Executes all duties within the framework of the budget for the current fiscal year.
  • Conducts proof on concept work for all PPOG products that fall within the line.
  • Collaborates with Market Managers with development and coordination of product promotions.
  • Works closely with New Business development on Mergers and Acquisitions, as well as evaluating new technologies and private label agreements.
  • Participates in cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives as Product Line subject matter experts.
  • Works closely with other functional areas to develop and maintain clear and up to date communication of product line information.
  • Owns product launches and the marketing tasks associated with them.
  • Owns and manages the day-to-day activities of the product line and creates a business plan to define the go-forward strategy.
  • Owns the product line's overall health and profitability.
  • Manage all vendor relationships including pricing, purchase agreements, packaging, and quality control.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field from a four-year college or university
  • Two to four years' related experience
  • MBA preferred

Experience:

  • Two to four years' related experience (i.e. product launch, product exits, email campaigns)
  • Experience working with business analytics tools (i.e. SalesForce, Vendavo, SAP, Specshare)

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to understand relationships and connections and generate charts, graphs, spreadsheets, and written summaries
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to present in front of a large group of individuals
  • Ability to take direction well
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. CAD and/or SAP experience is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, effective team player, self-motivated, quick learner
