Job Description

The incumbent will work primarily in the Greater Edmonton Area (including some travel to Northern Alberta) supporting a Sr. Sales Representative to carry out post-sales activities in the field, on customer sites. 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Contractor Start-ups: execute projects by meeting with the relevant parties involved in conjunction with the sales rep to review the specifications of the project, deliver onsite product and compliance training (where applicable).
  • Monitor Progress of Projects: represent the company on the project site throughout the job to provide technical support to the contractor, verify the quality of the installation, complete any documentation required (inspections, job completion reports), communicate with customers, reps and contractors as required.
  • QA and Maintenance Inspections:  perform routine inspections using diagnostic equipment, check roof to make sure system is working properly and ensure any problems are communicated and corrected.
  • Some new account development work may be required to help generate new business in the region through marketing, seminars and cold calling.


  • Requires a minimum of 2 years of commercial construction experience (roofing experience and or lead hand experience is an asset).
  • An education in roofing (including apprenticeship) and/or building science is a strong asset.
  • Must be willing to travel within the region (particularly in the summer months), including staying overnight(s) will be required from time to time.  Flexible hours are required in the summer.
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a truck is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and contractors is required. Experience training contractors is a strong asset.
  • Must have strong computer skills in MS office suite – particularly with Word and Excel. CRM experience is an asset.
  • Due to the nature of the job (physically demanding and working at heights), candidates must have demonstrated experience performing similar work at heights.
  • Ability to work independently in the field and in a home office is required.
