Job Description

Euclid Chemical is looking for an ambitious candidate to join the Sales team with sales responsibilities for the Western Michigan/Northern Indiana area.

The Euclid Chemical Company is renowned for product innovation, quality technical support and excellent customer service. The Sales Representative will join a strong, entrepreneurial, target-driven sales group reporting directly to the Great Lakes Regional Manager.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: 

As Sales Representative- you will be expected to actively seek out and engage customer prospects across the Western Michigan and Northern Indiana area; calling on concrete producers, as well as working with contractors, specifiers, and owners to sell Euclid Chemical’s wide range of products. You will also be expected to assist our Dispenser Service Technicians as needed for assistance in installing, troubleshooting and maintaining our dispensing equipment. This job will involve some overnight travel and travel into other select areas (states) upon request.  


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Duties:

  • Present, promote and sell products/services to existing and prospective customers
  • Perform cost-­benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Reach out to customer leads
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints, collaborating with Customer Services, to maximize satisfaction
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within scheduled timeframes
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports
  • Supply management with reports as requested on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
  • Continuously improve through feedback
  • Perform other duties as required.


Technician Duties:.

  • Assist in state inspections as necessary.
  • Comply with all Safety Policies of Euclid Chemical and the policies of Customers at ALL TIMES.
  • Assist in matching dispenser to Customer plants (e.g. counts, added products, etc.).
  • Completion of all paperwork (such as DOT Certifications, Expense Reports, Daily or Weekly Reports, etc.) The DOT Certifications must be done professionally on Euclid Letterhead and handed to the customer.
  • When required transfer safe amounts of material from location to location (such as raw materials for concrete testing, admixture, fiber, etc.).

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • At least 1-2 years of related industry experience and/or training
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Familiarity with CRM practices along with ability to build productive professional relationships
  • Experience of basic plumbing, electrical, fabrication methods.
  • Experience with outside sales is advantageous.
  • Experience of using dispenser equipment and ability to visit and evaluate a plant properly- including conduit for electrical, hose lengths, position of dispenser, etc.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
•Comfort with Travel up to 25% of the time- must be willing to spend the night out of town when required. This can be based on the amount of business in respective hometown vicinity.
