Tremco's Commercial Sealants and Waterproofing division is currently searching for a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to work from our Beachwood, Ohio campus.  This position reports to the Vice President of Organizational Effectiveness and is responsible for the entire life-cycle of the talent acquisition process from the time a hiring need is identified through the on-boarding of the new employee.  The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, in collaboration with the Talent Acquisition Specialist, partners with management to develop and execute the talent acquisition strategy and ensures alignment with business goals and objectives.


  • First point of contact with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and manages the position requisition process and approach. 
  • In collaboration with department managers, writes and maintains accurate job postings.  Coordinates with the HR Generalist/Business Partner to ensure postings are aligned with job descriptions. 
  • Takes proactive and innovative approach to recruiting and filling the talent pipeline. Identifies effective ways to attract passive candidates and sources for marketing open positions.  Creatively uses social media platforms to attract new talent, ensure high visibility of career opportunities and promotes the Tremco brand.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with traditional and non-traditional recruitment sources. 
  • Leads creative sourcing efforts to ensure a full talent pipeline. 
  • Attends networking events, job fairs or other related activities to promote and represent Tremco as needed.
  • Screens resumes, interviews applicants, identifies qualified candidates, coordinates the interview process and makes recommendations to hiring managers regarding the best fit candidates.
  • Coordinates the interviewing process by scheduling interviews with hiring manager(s) and identified stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Administers and interprets appropriate assessment testing and properly incorporates into the interview process.  Identifies and coordinates new ways to assess candidates and ensure the correct fit.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to determine employment offers including appropriate compensation offer.
  • Works in partnership with HR Generalist/Business Partner regarding compensation or other job details when necessary.
  • Coordinates the reference, background checking and drug screening process ensuring satisfactory and timely results.  Ensures invoices are accurate, tracked and processed timely.
  • Clearly and professionally communicates with candidates and hiring managers to ensure a smooth and efficient recruitment and on-boarding process.
  • Facilitates and modifies a welcome and informative on-boarding experience.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process using Taleo ATS and ensures all workflow is accurate.
  • Identifies process improvement opportunities and works to implement solutions.
  • Acts as a mentor to and collaborates with the Talent Acquisition Specialist by leading strategic initiatives and sharing processes and best practices.
  • Conducts 'stay' and 'exit' interviews. Tracks and analyzes data for trends and makes recommendations that support employee engagement and retention.
  • Coordinates candidate relocations when necessary and will work in conjunction with third party vendor.
  • Develops, tracks and reports out on recruitment related key performance indicators.
  • Participates in other HR activities that are related to the talent acquisition and retention.
  • Creates and facilitates informative talent acquisition related training and thought leadership presentations to Tremco stakeholders.
  • Ensures compliance with all local, state and federal employment laws.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management, Psychology or related field required.


  • Minimum of seven years corporate talent acquisition specialist experience with all position levels, including experience recruiting sales and other professional positions.  Experience establishing talent acquisition strategy and executing on tactical plans in a complex and fast paced business environment is a must.


  • Must have general knowledge of compensation and understanding of market rates.
  • Experience with HR disciplines, such as employee relations and benefits preferred.
  • Skilled in identifying creative talent acquisition strategies and pipelines, including but not limited to leveraging social media, networking, and data mining of passive candidates.
  • Proven track record of successfully finding and establishing creative sourcing avenues.
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills, clear and professional communication skills, efficient time management, initiative, and critical thinking skills are a must.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Position currently works remotely but candidate must be available to work from the corporate office if and when needed.


  • SHRM-CP or PHR a plus.
