Job Description

Tremco's Commercial Sealants and Waterproofing division is currently searching for a Technical Architectural Sales Representative in the New York area. The Technical Architectural Sales Representative will be responsible for the following:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Technical Architectural Sales Representative is responsible for influencing the Architects, Consultants, Construction Managers, Developers and Design Builders in the NYC/NNJ marketplace.  The primary focus is to maximize Tremco specifications in the territory.

  • Primary duties are to be an actively engaged member of the NTC/NNJ Sales Team
  • Increase Tremco’s involvement and specification acceptance with major architects, consultants, CM’s, developers, and to support project work with these influencers
  • Get Tremco products listed by name in the appropriate sections of project specifications
  • Develop and manage a Target Account list that will increase Tremco’s involvement and specifications with major influencers
  • Develop and deliver technical messaging to the various audiences mentioned above
  • Actively seek account targets through project tracking
  • Manage a project pipeline.
  • Coordinate sales efforts on major projects.  
  • Coordinate monthly job control/pipeline meetings.
  • Deliver effective technical lunch and learn presentations.
  • Support Marketing and Product Management with market-facing issues and opportunities.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
  • Ability to present in front of groups
  • Effective listening skills
  • Team player with the ability to work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within territory

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of the Specifier community and commercial construction process
  • Suitable home office workspace to conduct work
  • Salesforce.com experience is a plus

EDUCATION

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
